BRIGHTEN UP FOR SPRING WITH BALAYAGE

As the days start to get brighter, we naturally start drifting towards our spring summer wardrobe and try to find ways to refresh our hair and make-up. A fabulous, low maintenance way to give your hair a boost for spring is Balayage. Literally translated as ‘sweeping’ in French, Balayage is a freehand technique designed to lighten the ends of your hair, creating a gorgeous sun-kissed effect. Favoured by the likes of Olivia Palermo, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gisele, it’s an ultra-natural look and will suit virtually all hair types.

Selecting a shade to lighten and blend with your base, your colourist will paint the colour in sections using a freehand method to avoid a defined line between your base colour and ends. This creates a completely natural looking, gradual lightening throughout, regardless of how you style your hair.

The ‘sun-kissed’ ends will eventually grow out without any obvious regrowth making the technique perfect for those seeking low maintenance colour. Keep your colour healthy and glossy by using expert colour care products and an Intensive Masque once a week to nourish and moisturise. We love styling this trend with loose beachy waves for the ultimate ‘just got back from holiday’ look!
